Its been 14 years since he left us all, 14 years today (14th Syawal). I miss you very much, i remember your smile, how you make us all happy, cheerful even though you were always busy with work. I miss you Dad, very much.
I've been on leave from work since last sunday. Its been a wonderful and fantastic time i had with the kids and wife. We went to Disneyland Hong Kong Last monday, stayed at the Hollywood Disneyland Hotel, the kids had a blast but both Hairmi and i were knackered but yet delighted seeing the kids enjoyed and happy meeting the disney character. We came back wednesday and the day after it was just me and the other half. We woke up as early as 5 with minimal packing and took flight BI421 to Singapore for an overnight stay. After all since we got married, apart from the Bangkok surprised, me visiting the Thailand, giving her a surprised visit by telling her i was off flying for work to the Aussie while iMan was only 3 months old, this was the first time we went traveling without the gangs. And what a wonderful time we had. It was a very full and packed flight, I had to sit on the Crew area at the back, while Hairmi at the Flight Deck. It didn't matter at all, as long as we get on the plane.
First thing we did, booked ticket at Lido Shaw Cinema, for the 6 O'Clock premier show of the Sex and The City the movie, yes....we've been a fan of the four ladies from season 1, back when Samantha Fox had only one thing in her mind...Charlotte married to a sex freak, Carrie dated a politician and Miranda with her Rabbit vibrator...It was all great. Ahh..not to mentioned the shopping. Hairmi went wild, her eyes went everywhere after all, it was Singapore mid year sale..adn what a great timing.
For the past 5 day, i've had a wonderful time with the kids and wife. Not to mentioned the guilt leaving both of the at home. I know its been only 1 night, but man, all i can think of were them. But hey, on the bright side, Mommy and Daddy also need to for themselves. Ohh btw, i didn't mention about the Muthu Curry, the very famous Fish Head Curry, we went there and hated it. Inda jua nyaman...my tummy went berserk right after, hairmi went to toilet straight away, i had a crazy headache.
Ohh another thing, i finished reading Ayat-Ayat Cinta book, it took me 20 days, FYI, i am a very slow reader. Man that lady Aishah was an angel. Now its time to watch the movie, which i heard was totally diverted from the book itself..anyways, thanks for reading. Thank you mother and mother inlaw for taking care of both iMan and Leah while we were away. It was a very rare occasion, but i don't know if we ever gonna do it again. I just don't feel right leaving them.
Thank goodness hairmi is back tonight from Bangkok, she's been away since last tuesday and like always its been tough days since then. But alhamdulillah, the kids were well cooperative.
Ask for tomorrow, 27th April, apa ada ahh...? hehehe... this is what i think would happen, dinner for 4 somewhere, but i think its gonna be at the Empire or the Airports restaurant, there will be a birthday cake, but iMan and Leah would think its their birthday instead and started arguing between themselves in which both party ended up crying, very-very predictable. Mother would give me a call and congratulate me...prayers for my well being.
Ask for birthday presents, ATTN Hairmi, jgntah mahal banyak lai, ani saja.
Its only been half of it, but man, many thing happened already. First the bad news, last monday morning, i had phone call at 1.30 am from me bro telling that my aunt had passed away at the hospital, so the whole day monday was dedicated for her funeral till the evening. She was mother's most trusted person, take it thanksgiving or wedding at mother's resident at Kg.Salar, she would, without any instructions at all, know what to do, keeping everyone's tummy filled with food. We surely gonna missed her. When Hairmi and i paid her a visit to the hospital, i thought she was gonna be fine, i hate to hear when doctors are playing god saying...u know, 30% of life survival kinda things... honestly i just hate it...! Now resting next to her son, my beloved cousin, Caping. I surely will miss her very much as she was always around at my mom's place, pity i don't have any picture of her at all.
Today, 20.02.08 marked Leah's 2nd birthday. Seeing her grow up since day one has been a miracle and wonderful experiences. Its a pity her mother is not here as she will be only be back later tonight. The whole gangs of 4 will have the celebration at the Airport Restaurant tomorrow. Happy 2nd Birthday Adelya, besuk babah membalikan Dora the Explorer's blanket. The gangs and i had our last vacation to Singapore and Malaysia last december. The Singapore trip was okay despite some nifty-drifty stuff happened only we know... but it was full and pack programs for 2 days, we managed to squeezed sometime to the zoo,, the Dora show and shopping.. as always, traveling with staff tickets can be a headache most of the time..but hey, its 30 bucks each, totals up to 120 ish brunei $..i'm not complaining.
But the KL trip was the one that i just couldn't forget, you know, traveling with staff tickets, mesti ikut protocols. Pakai baju kemas-kemas, seluar putung, kasut kulit buaya, baju kemeja berkoler..u know...ada dress code lah cincai.. but we travelled with the rebate tickets which my other half got it from accumulating her air miles through RBA flyer club.. in other words..kira mcm full fair lah..and what happened when an airline staff travelled full fair...i travelled light...man i enjoyed every moment of it...inda pecaya...liatah gambarku...t-shirt, 3/4 pants and crocs...hehehehe..thanks Love, kumpul lagi points atu banyak-banyak...btw, i'm eying your Singapore Airlines airmiles...manatau dpt makai the double decker ke Sydney.. bulih...
I've not reporting to work since last Tuesday afternoon. First to catch the bug was Hairmi, then Leah..now its my turn..man i hate having flu. It kills my appetite, i hate the headache, macam kan pacah kepala ulehnya.. I hope to get better by tonight, honestly, i miss work very much. For last 2 days, i've been seeing doctors from the public clinic, they're ok, considering B$1.00 per entry as oppose to private clinics.. but the Que, they gotta do something about it. Thats is why, im seeing my doctor at jpmc later this afternoon, my cough is not getting any better.
What happened...makan..makan and more makan..last night, Hairmi and i tasted, i think, the most nyaman Nasi Ayam at Bukit Bintang...shyte man, we first went to Linda Onn's My Mom's Restaurant, but hey, it sucks man, big time, we ordered mineral water, and it took ages to arrived, the food, shyte, took 30 minutes...we cancelled and bugger of right after..then decided to go to cheemeng Nasi Ayam..nyaman beb... Its day two, and i will have my dinner there for sure.
My uncle, Hj Kunchang bin Hj Idris, passed away yesterday at around 2-3 am. I had a call from mom at 5 and she woke me up since. He was mother’s eldest brother, a very religious man as i remember him, worked for the Sultan Omar Ali Mosque ever since it was open many years ago. During his years according to mom, he read the Holy Alquran almost every morning, he survived the Japanese occupation back then. One thing i will remember was when he said he help my grandfather registering mother’s birth certificate when he was just married few days before, his hands and fingers were still hennaed, really created a controversy.
May Allah forgive his sins and give him his blessing forever, Amin. Alfatihah.
I've been photoblogging with google since the first quarter of the year. Without noticing that my .Mac account do offer the a same privilege. So, last night without hesitation i gave it a go and started my first blog at that fruit company's .Mac account. My first impression, at first payah sedikit, but after a while, its just like the rest and what apple does best really, drag and drop blogging, just couldn't be any better.
Anyway, i will be updating my site every now and then depending how occupied my time can be, but i'll try my very best to do it.
And really mean it. I upgraded my macs with the new Leopard.. it was very impressive upgrade from tiger to leopard...then when i started editing pictures with CS2, in the middle of editing after almost an hour and a half..it crashed...sasaku ehh..
First it was the CS2, then whenever i opened more than 5 tabs in Safari..crashed tia jua lagi...absolute Boxxxcks... Siapa cakap Mac inda pandai crashed ahh...well it just did...
And tiday i was installing the same software to a mate's Macbook..surprise-surprise, i experience my very first BSoD (Blue Screen Of Death). Wanna know more, copy and paste it to google..you will know what i mean..
My advise..siapa kan meng-upgrade atu..baiktah tunggu a while...i should've waited myself, let the geek from apple fix the bugs...
On the other hand, Hairmi is back home from her tiring Naning, HongKong, Singapore travel..love, you look knackered and surely a massage..
Its been almost a week since Hairmi left for Naning and man it felt like years. The gangs and i 've been counting the days especially the little girl. Been asking me where is mama, payah kan dijawab. The brother, however, macam nada apa-apa..but daddy's here although always balik ahir..around 6 ish to 7...basically 2 hours with them and back to sleep...kesian ehh...sabar tah saja..this Friday ada tah mama ni..for two weeks and off she goes again to London..Man, i am very greatful that i had rejected to work at the airport kalau inda...
To be perfectly honest, ada banyak perkara, the biggest one, this saturday, Hairmi balik from Naning, China. The big one, my pro-order Mac OSX Leopard alum sampai, the not so big one, my Wacom alum jua sampai and the less big one, my green chromakey backdrop pun alum sampai..
Above all, its the biggest on yang ku tunggu-tunggu ani. Babe, batah jua Saturday ani. I know its only been 4 days, but felt like years..Me and the gangs inda sabar-sabar.
Just a reminder, while in Singapore, jgn lupa ke Peninsula plaza ahh...u know what i want.. ;P
Syukur kepada Allah, semoga mendapat keredhaan yang teramat banyak dari Nya dan semuga ditemukan dengan Ramadhan yang akan datang, Amin ya Rabul Alamin. Selamat Menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri, dan selamat berbahagian disamping keluarga dan teman-teman.
How would you like to get paid to learn something you have passion for, i do. Some are very lucky to be given that kind of chances, my eldest brother, whom, his passion towads musics started at his very young age, and now he studying is to a higher level. How i wish i was given the same oppurtunity to learn the art of studio photography to further extreme. He will be doing his masters in music somewhere in London while his other half in Bath doing Masters of different kind.

Responding to anakbrunei's post, my weekend was full of rest and we had spending time with the kids. Here how it goes, Friday, went to Limbang, biasa membali buah and window shopping for furniture, apparently, its half the price considering the currency exchange with free delivery..make me wonder, kenapa peniaga-peniaga here selalu kan mau untuk sampai belipat ganda...no wonder, on every school, public holidays...banyak duit keluar ke negara jiran...thats part of it, i guess. Ahh, i bought 4 ikat durian putih and shyte kana tipu bulat-bulat...i think di simpanya dlm freezer kali durian atu..iyatah berubah rasanya...1 ikat durian kuning...yummy, 4 kilos of rambutan and 2 gayung kembayau (my mom's fav, but my dad used to teased her saying its makanan Basing..)
Saturday, had to work, malas ku pulang but hey its double time and its money..at night, the wife craved for barbecued chicken wings (she's not pregnant lah..) so we invited our neighbor and Kanih and the gang from Sg Besar. I couldn't last long, pukul 10 lalu atu..i went to bed with the kids while the other half melapak sampai 12ish..i think..or later that that.
Sunday, siuk ehh...woke up at 9, iMan bangun dulu and then tarus minta bawa breakfast diluar..so we went to KFC, basar sudah anakku atu, pandai memilih kadai sudah...i was pissed off by the attendant there, the instuctions clearly states that opened at 9.30 am..it was almost 10 and balum buka...baik jua iMan baik moodnya sikit...if it was me and the missus, gerenti lari arah lain sudah. The chicken was great, baru masak and juicy, iMan and Leah had their routine, Chips and Gravy..although Leah didn't like it at first, only after watching her bro makan, then only she got hooked up to it..eemmm dise..that nice for Leah.. 1130, hairmi ada jemputan kawin, honestly, aku payah sikit kan ke jemputan ani...unless keluarga ampir..sunday is suppose to be time for the family...innit. Afternoon, just relex at home and took a nap with the dudes, sampai pukul 1430 hrs...bangun tarus main baseball sama iMan and Leah, Amin was there too. At around 4, after instructing the maids to cleen up the rooms upstairs, ku pasang tia studio lightings and backdrop, and diatas was officially being transformed into my studio..did i not mentioned that i bought 2 new studio lights Elinchrom 400BX cost 2500 at cathayphoto singapore, but bought it 2nd hand for 1000. Not i have 4 lights to play with..the only thing missing is the models..hari raya ani tah karang.
Oh yeah, before i go, been wanting to do this ages ago, things that i want to do next year;
1. Umrah. 2. Photographic outing to Saigon, Bangkok and Scotland..i really miss doing it since my partner quit RBA. 3. Convert my current BCAR Section L licenses to EASA/DCA 66 B1, had to sit for 5 modules exams in Perth, Scotland, ada urg kan sponser kah...? 4. Last but not least, 40"LCD tv, i guess i have to buy my own now, since Hairmi decided not to, not unless she changed her mind..
Had the opportunity shooting with Pg Sui, Jinidi from the Pertubuhan Photography, with Gardmd and myself. Location, Lagun Kg.Pemancha Lama. Camera set to 1/2sec ISO 100 14mm, suffered from hot-pixels everywhere, thanks to magic of photoshop, hot pixels were successfully eliminated by clone tool. This picture was one of my favorite during the outing. Enjoy.
I don't own a macro lens. My 14-54 Zuikos are not design to do macro work, but i manage to get some macro shots during our outing to temburong with Nini and Slaveworks. This is one of the picture taken during that day. I gave it a Lomo effect with CS2, the RAW conversion was done with Aperture.
